I am a Operations Research & Data Science Leader at Glovo (Spain 🇪🇸), and I work at the intersection between artificial intelligence, software development, and product management.
Some fact about me:
- (📍) I’m from Colombia 🇨🇴 and I love Latin America but currently living in Barcelona 🇪🇸.
- (👨🎓) I hold a Master’s degree in Operations Research and Statistics from Universidad de los Andes (Colombia) and I’m a Certified Analytics Professional (CAP®).
- In 2020, I joined Glovo’s Logistic cluster as Technical Product Manager and in 2021, I moved back to a Lead Data Science role.
- (💼) Between 2018 and 2019, I worked as Lead Operations Research and Data Scientist at Rappi’s Algorithms team pushing the bar to make Rappi one of the first Latin American unicorns.
- (💼) Between 2016 and 2018, I worked as a Senior Data Scientist in the IBM Digital Business Group and lead the expansion of the impact of analytics-driven insights on business results in Latin America.
- (💼) Between 2013 and 2015, I worked as an Instructor for the Industrial Engineering Department and Researcher at the Epidemiology Group of the School of Medicine @ Universidad de los Andes (Colombia). During this time, I support the design and launch the successful Master in Analytics for Decision Making (M.Sc.).
- (👨🔬) My research work has been published in international journals, including the Annals of Operations Research, Optimization Letters, Reliability Engineering & System Safety, and Preventive medicine.
